LMC Financial - Larry Costa Retires
January 2024
It is with mixed emotions that I share the news of Larry’s decision to step aside. Larry has not only been a colleague, but a true friend and mentor to me over the past 10 years, providing guidance and support that has shaped our personal and professional journeys. The camaraderie we’ve built and the daily interactions will be greatly missed.
After talking about teaming up together for several years - we finally did in March 2021. Our business partnership focused on ensuring, LMC Financial Services remains a vibrant entity. Our team will continue supporting you with the same dedication and passion.
Before becoming the esteemed businessman and financial advisor we know him as, Larry pursued studies at UC Berkeley, majoring in Political Science and Business. His journey led him to proudly serve in the U.S. Army as a military intelligence officer. Concluding his military service, Larry cultivated a broad business background working in management consulting for over 15 years with global consulting firm Proudfoot. With his problem-solving skills and combination of passion for reading and self-study, Larry received financial investment licenses as well as life and disability insurance licenses. In this time Larry created LMC Financial Services where he prided himself on providing consistently sound advice, independent judgement, and personalized service. As a financial advisor and broker, he operated his own brokerage in Arcadia, CA for over 40 years. He was a proud advocate for his clients both in their personal wellbeing as well as their financial successes.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry has been an active contributor to many organizations and causes such as, the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce, serving on their Board of Directors. He passionately raised funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and even completed marathons sponsored by them. Larry has recently relocated to Laguna Hills, bringing new joy to his life in being minutes away from his son Matt, daughter-in-law Sahar, and grandchildren Mason and Mia.
As we look back at Larry’s career and accomplishments, we’d like to make sure to share that as he transitions to his new role as “client,” I will still be able to count on him to continue our informal conversations about holdings and strategy and will be on the receiving side of his demand that we only perform in excellence. In closing, we want to emphasize that this transition doesn’t mark the end of friendships but rather a new chapter. Larry remains a valuable part of our network, and we encourage everyone to reach out to him at any time. Our shared journey may evolve, but the bonds we’ve built remain strong.
All the Best! -
Rob
